Do you play with inanimate objects as an adult?
You know, when no one's looking?
Of course. And i dont care if anyones looking. A few years ago i was on a ferry doing a 2 day crossing from spain to the canary islands. Hideously boring. I played a mind numbing few games of bingo ( the only "entertainment" on the boat) and won several times. The prizes were vouchers to spend on the boat. Not finding anything interesting to buy i espied some toy aeroplanes for sale, the sort you launch with an elastic band. I bought 30 of them. I sat on one of the lower decks at the back of the boat, lit a huge joint and started to launch them one by one, watching them gracefully soar through the air until they crashed into the sea. Some stayed airborn for several minutes. When the last one crashed i heard a collective "aahhh". Behind me on an upper deck there were about 50 people who had been watching me (i was unaware of their presence up til that moment). They all clearly enjoyed what i was was doing, but were all too old to do such childish stuff.
I was 40 at the time.
