Leaving countries international waters via boat?
Hi, I would like to know the laws in New Zealand surrounding leaving the countries international waters (regardless of reason).
Do I have to document these trips or have my boat checked by customs?
and when coming back into the country do I have to have my boat checked by customs or police (for any prohibited items) Or can I just go to "home".
I dunno about New Zealand laws, but in the U.S., if you didn't stop in a foreign country then you don't need to clear customs or anything like that. You just go home.

Ice: Please write up the issues you are seeing with boat flotation and get involved, either through bug reporting or attending office hours. There were some float height issues brought up by the sailing community that have been resolved down to a very small variation. I do not know without some specifics why you are seeing issues with your boats. If you would provide a jira item with specifics on the amount of variation and the product name we can look a the issue.
