What boat to buy to enjoy miami?
Hello guys i' thinking about moving to florida and i really want to purchase a boat after spending a weekend in my uncles i can only dream of doing it again!
i want it for going to the little islands around Miami Sundays and just chill and enjoy the beach and people that i know are great!!! and maybe going to Bimini islands or Bahamas once or twice a year when the weather is optimal like sailors dream weather! lol but i will use it in the summers mostly
what would be cheaper or more practical?
buying a 24 to 26 trail-able sea ray cuddie oh yeah i want it to have a bed and bathroom dont care for a kitchen! and keep it at home when i'm not using it!
or buying a 33 to 36 foot one like the silverton 33 sport coupe i feel in love with it and keep it in a dry marina!
i guess my question is will their be a big difference in price versus convenience??
i'm sure the smaller boat is cheaper but i hear trailing does 24 to 26 footers sometimes is a pain!
better check insurance, fuel cost, maintenance, registration(boat & trailer), fuel cost, launching facility, safety gear, etc. cant trailer boat with more than 8 ft. beam without permit. twin engines a must for ocean. use about two gallons per mile fuel. many more details. have plenty of money. for your use the searay sounds best and its a better quality boat. do not buy either until you have a pro mechanic check the engines. can save big bucks. boat engine in sea water can have big problems.
