How much weight (trailer) can a PT Cruiser tow / pull?
In all honesty, this is a small car, And no matter what the manufacturers claim, Towing is hard on your car.
The transmission usually gets the worst end of the deal, as by adding weight this makes the transmission work harder. the fluid gets very hot and hot fluid breaks down and the transmission burns itself out.
ASK the dealer, but I would recommend towing nothing larger than say an aluminum fishing boat.on a trailer if you like your car. There is a company, that makes a PT Bruiser it has a turbocharged engine among some other upgrades and a transmission cooler adds a little fluid capacity and more cooling if installed correctly, and depending on vehicle applications there are deep transmission pans available.
