What is the process for driving a jet ski in NY?
How do you go about getting the proper licensing to be able to drive a jet ski in NY?
Where do you go to take the tests?

The links in the answer won't allow you to look up where in NY you can go to take the course. I tried the link and it no longer works. The correct link is now:

Had you said where you were in the state I could have been more helpful. I'm on Long Island, but if I looked up where to go on Long Island that wouldn't do you much good if you're in Buffalo or Messina.
In New York, you must attend a classroom course and hold a safety certificate if:
* You operate a personal watercraft, regardless of your age, in New York State.
* You wish to operate a motorboat (including personal watercraft) and you are at least 10 years old and less than 18 years old.
* If you are less 10 years old you may operate a motorboat (non-PWC) only if someone over 18 or someone between the ages of 10 and 18 who holds a safety certificate, is on board with you. Anyone may operate a personal watercraft if someone at least 18 years old is riding on the craft and they hold a safety certificate.

A safety certificate issued to a resident of another state or country is acceptable provided the certificate is carried while operating in New York State. Please note the certificate must be issued by the state or country of residence, and should be NASBLA approved.

Canandaigua or fingerlakes region aren't needed to look up the classes in your area. Your county is. Go to the following link and use the drop down entry "all counties" to fill in your county and you'll see where and when classes are offered.

No response from you so I looked it up myself. Canandaigua is in Ontario county and they don't have any classes scheduled at this time. Maybe you can travel to another county to go to a class?
