Yacht - Psychic City
Is anyone else in Sydney sick of the 'suits' in the CBD?
I am so sick of the suits around the CBD. Especially the ones that work in banking and finance.
I was at a bar in the city today and all these stockbrokers were there talking about their racehorces and how they do french cooking classes. They were so pretentious and annoying.
I've decided I definitely prefer down to earth guys. I'm sick of them talking about their yachts or the exquisite french meal they whipped up at home. Can they please just act like real people. They are so arrogant. I don't see why someone can't be successful and down to earth.
Does anyone else find them annoying? So sick of the suits!

I agree totally. You're not the only one who is sick of them, and it's the worst kept secret that they're a pretty pretentious lot.
It has a lot to do with their upbringing - if they've grown up in a middleclass, or wealthy family. They're possibly also been given opportunities that many of their well-to-do parents helped them secure just from the education they paid for. If they've never really been deprived of anything, they don't have time or interest in the topics that matter to most of us, like how we're going to make repayments or keeping our jobs.
Unless they are deliberately trying to avoid talking shop so they won't get depressed. They would rather discuss the weather in Scandinavia or the mating habits of grasshoppers than face what has been happening in the financial crisis, or the shitload of money they just cost an investor that relied on their expertise. That could be it, too.
My advice: if you find suits boring, stay away from them and if you would rather enjoy the company of guys from a more relaxed environment, then perhaps concerts or band performances are the place for you where you can enjoy the music and see people relax and at their best socially.
