choosing the right fishing boat

I want a new Fishing vest for fishing on a boat(since Im still young and Im not a great swimmer, I want a life vest) but I cant decide between two vests.

This one seems very safe, and It has lots of pockets. Even though its a little bulky, it looks like it will float great.

I like this vest too, because it has more belts and a collar, but less pockets, and it doesn't look as bulky, but then it might not be as boyant. What should I choose?
Should I find one that includes a backflap, grab strap, and crotch strap.
Firstly it doesn't matter what they look like so long as they keep you safe, check out the newtons they have, as the more the better and the more they will keep you afloat, it doesn't mention the amount on the first link so go with the second unless the first is more. Also i know you want a vest but wouldn't and auto inflate better suit you as they are not as cumbersome and give you free movement, but which ever yo decide crotch straps are a good idea as they stop the vest riding up if you fall in

you gotta be pretty rich to a) own a boat, and b) keep a boat. mooring is expensive and most people don't have houses with space enough to keep a boat on a trailer – land is scarce here!
from going round the Southampton Boat Show for years (though I won't claim to know much about boats) I'd say the price for a decent (new) boat would be in the region of £10,000 or more… for example:
edit: I'd also say that places to go boating might be hard to find. I've been looking for places to go kayaking for a while, and its not easy to find places in the South of England as a lot of rivers or lakes are privately owned. Some are part of parks that don't allow watersports. There's a kayaking club near me on the River Itchen but their fees are too high and my spare time is too little
