I want to buy a sailboat...?
I want an inexpensive, easy to use, and durable sailboat. I am a beginner and want to buy a sailboat. I want to buy one that wont capsize very easily and is cheap. I want one that can sit 2-4 people. I also want to know the price if possible and where i could find one to buy in Jacksonville, Florida (if possible). Thanks!

Try the boats of Hunter Marine Corp. They have a lot of day sailing models starting at 12 feet. The boats are good for beginners and less expensive than other fancy sailboats. I will recommend a boat that you can trail because the moorings are expensive.

If you think about a sailboat then you would agree with me that a really cheap wind EXISTS!
I'm really enthusiastic because there is a great solution in order to use this cheap cheap..wind... (It's to directly store it with ammonia production. Ammonia is used to store hydrogen). It seems really a great thing!
Wind is an excellent clean and very good source of power many small remote communities around the world use it and solar as their only power source. The place I work have two large ones at one of our Antarctic bases which on average produces 40-50% of the stations annual power
and reduces by 10s of thousands of liters the amount of diesel that needs to be shipped in each year.

Although this sort of question usual seems to attract rubbish answers about wind generators stopping the wind and similar nonsense, I saw several a couple a weeks ago that suggested such things would slow the Earth rotation, Scheech! don't they teach science in schools any more.

some things to consider
it is possible to fip that boat, but there are risks.
your maintenance costs may exceed your profit ie, bottom painting, new halyards, sail repair, wood working etc.
while the sailboat will look better after you have improved it, if the market is soft, you may not be able to sell it quickly, a few extra months of moorage fees or storage fees could be a real problem, what if the boat doesn't sell?
living aboard will save you $ over renting, but paint or chemical fumes could drive you off of the boat.

Living on the boat would increase your profit even if you sold it for what you had in it. you wouldn't be out rent.
I don't know if you could make out, but sounds like a good time and a good project.
One thing, don't use money you will need for school, that will give you flexibility in the sale.
