How can I protect or insure myself from an online purchase? I?
I am interested in buying a boat found on boat trader and the seller wants me to use World Pay. The boat will be shipped to me in 4-5 days. If I do not recieve the boat I have no recourse with World Pay. Is there another way to do this that offers more protection for me in the event of fraud? The boat costs $7500.
As long as you are using a major credit card you should be safe. Visa/Mastercard/Discover/Amex will always back the customer before the merchant. If you have a problem receiving the item purchases, contact your credit card company (If it is a debit card, you can contact your bank first) and they will take care of it. This is usually called a Reg-E. They can track everything because each merchant that accepts a credit card must set up the account with that card company. It may take a little time, but you should get a temporary credit within a couple months and a permanent credit within a couple months after that. I have gone through this process with both domestic and international purchases. I have also been on the other end as a merchant with a customer who was not satisfied with the product and the money was automatically given back to the customer.....hope this helps.

As for the slide for your boat, I don't think they make slides specifically for boats. I'd try a pool store.
