I'm worried about my parent's financial status, i overheard?
my mom talking about christmas with her partner and we can't afford a new christmas tree or decorations and how they're looking for the 25% off on a £4.99 book.
You see, i live two lives. My dad and his partner live in a mansion with 4 cars, 2 boats and take pleasure in getting me whatever i want/need at christmas.
But i see such a harsh difference between these two families and i realise how low my mom's finances have got. Because of the credit crunch i have lived in 5 houses in the past 2 years (and now we have to make a living room a bedroom), only one of whih we owned. i overheard her saying she'll have to dig into our savings this christmas. What can i do to help? i can't work until i am 14 yet i still seem to have the most money here.

What do i do?
Dana, I wouldn't worry too much about it - the salient point here is: They have savings. If they didn't have savings it would be a worry, but no one who can afford to put money away is that badly off. We've know times when we've tipped out the penny jar to get a loaf of bread. When the savings are gone it's a problem, but it's their problem, you're 13, just be a kid and don't worry, leave that to the adults.
If you feel you need to do something, ask for something small and inexpensive for Christmas, like a book, make out it's all you really want and would mean the world to you. Your dad will be able to supply whatever you really want, by the sounds of things.
