boats for sale by owner
I am in the process of buying a boat in italy, the owner accepted my offer (subject to survey)?
The broker received a 10k euro deposit and i organised the survey, now the survey is done and ok, but the owner wants to put up the price - can he do that and what action can I take if the sale falls through?

I don't swear i can help you, but i start saying this: it depends on the contract you have signed.
If it's said that the price is XX that must be and if you have given tha money i guess you could pretend to obtain the boat at the same price.
But it depends on many dectalis; the kind of agreement (it should be written, iguess), and the kind of rise of the price (it could depend on taxes..)

I guess it's better if you write than if you put another question in america (i'm italian, it's 6:13 here now), so that i can help you; there are many missing details, or better, i don't understand what it means "survey" (you went to see the boat?) and what kind of contract you signed (i do'nt need to know how much money for ex, or names, i need to know if it's signed, the precise day, when they received the money, th 10k € arethe full price you agreed or you agredd a little more and the owner now wants Much more? etc.)
In our laws principles i guess the owner couldn't, but i repeat it depends on many other things ( and that part of law is known by few people)

That only means that there is no broker/realtor fees involved with the sale. Nothing really to chuckle about.
I think this is a conflicting question. I see "homeless/jobless" beggers everyday on my way to work. They sit there for 8 hours a day begging for change. However, our building has cleaners who happen to be hispanic and they bust their buts everyday to do their jobs and bring home a pay check. Americans jobs are not being stollen. Someone is finally doing the jobs that Americans have not wanted to do. We have forgotton what hard work is about.
Because the owner is selling it himself, rather than using a real estate company. It costs less that way. You don't have to pay a commission to an agency and escrow costs are less. But you have to know about real estate law, otherwise you can screwed.
This is soooo old and it comes back every once in a while in different forms.
Please listen to what the answerers said and I hope you are really just saying it for fun. I have been listening to this joke/riddle for more than 15 years and some people still insist that there is one dollar missing.
You can't add the remaining 2 dollars to the 27 dollars they paid because it is a part of the 27 dollars. U can think of it like this
27 – 2 = 25 dollars. 25 +1+1+1+2 = 30. It's meant to be a riddle for fun and that's all.
