Can I sue a boat dealer for selling me a boat with a rotted floor if i can pove he knew it and didnt reveal it?
i bought a boat from a boat dealer. after taking the boat to another repair service to get what was explained to me by the seller a e-z fix i found out i had rotten stringers and floor. major problem 7000.00 to fix boat is worth 4000.00. he machanic says he used to work for the preveous dealer and knew that he knew the boat was rotten. can i sue the seller even though i signed an as is clause in the sales contract.
If the dealer you bought the boat from will not take the boat back then start proceedings thru the local BBB. I had a similar experience where the marina kept my boat over 6 months to repair it and the engine froze and busted. They would not repair the engine. However after the BBB got involved they changed there tune and replaced the engine. This was an $5000 repair. Best of luck

where can I find ads for boat trailers for sale.(used)?
Go to your local convenience store, 7-11, Circle K, etc. and ask if they have Classified magazines. There's one called ------ Trader, you can probably find an online version as well, they have Boat Trader, Car Trader, Truck Trader, RV Trader, Aircraft Trader, etc. for all niches. Look online first, see if you can find them that way. There are other local versions, some are called Trading Post, Trader, Advertiser, etc. Usually can find these only at convenience stores, sometimes huge book stores like Borders, BOoks-a-Million, etc. , or magazine outlet stores ( hard to find ), so try the local convenience store, they have a rack near the newspapers usually. Or ask.

In the event the car was not his (which means it was stolen), it will have to be surrendered to the police immediately. You would then have to sue him for the amount lost if you can locate him.
When you had it inspected, he would have had to show a registration card for the inspection to be passed, correct? Assuming he didn't steal the car with that in it, if it was his that means he had the title at some point to get that.
Personally, I would contact the police and see if that VIN has been reported stolen. If it has, you would just have to turn it in anyway, and if not, there's a decent chance its legit.
