Boat Mercury
How do you take the hood off a Mercury boat motor?
I have a 9.8 Mercury with a thunderbolt ignition and on the cover it says 110. I don't know the year but the serial # is 3927406. Underneath the hood on the left-hand side, looks like a flat pull lever but it is broken off. It is next to the choke.. Not sure if that is the lever that opens it or not? Also, how do i find out the year by the serial #?
3927406 is a 1974, and yes that is the cowl latch lever.
