Bayliner cabin
Need help with marine head?
I bought a Bayliner Cabin cruiser it has a vaccu flush head. It has the handle on side to pump out.
I never used one before. When I pump handle it does not get any water flowing. I opened a valve that looked to be from where it would pull water from but still nothing.
Is it true It needs to be primed first to get suction to pull in water?
Need help with this.....
Some heads will loose their prime now and again, 2 things you can try. Fill the bowl with water and pump it out on DRY then FLUSH. Or place the valve on FLUSH and give it around 20 short sharp strokes especially on the up stroke. Depending on what make it is you may well have to replace the flapper valve and the diaphram.

safe way to install generator?
I have a 26' foot Bayliner Explorer with open air deck in back. Would it be safe for a small generator to run A/C and a tv in cabin. Could I set generator on back deck and maybe run an exhaust pipe into water to keep carbon dioxide fumes away. What is safe way to have generator?
Running pipe into water is a bad idea. Engine is not made to have back pressure and will overheat.
If the cabin is low fumes will accumulate there if not vented away from boat.
CO builds up under the deck so no swimming aft if generator is running
Power inverters might be a better idea unless moving
