bay fishing boats
I have an idea for shark fishing, dump 5 gallons of cows blood in the water to atract them. Will this work?
I have no idea where to get cow blood but Im sure a butcher shop will let me know. Frozen squid is the bait I would use. Thinking about it this is going to expensive, so my mane question is it worth my expense? Love shark good eats. Tampa Bay boat fishing.

Like Beer Drinking Lemur said, you can catch sharks with a LOT less!
A common chum-slick using fish oils, (Pogey oil), fish heads, and misc fish scraps will work fine IN THE RIGHT AREA.
Try to fish in areas where there is a nice current. This allows your chum-slick to filter "far".
Not to mention, what type of shark are you after? Most "tasty" sharks live in "blue water".
In my opinion, going offshore for strictly shark is silly, esp with other tasty critters like Mahi, Kings, Cobia, Grouper, Snapper, Etc.
And shark can be a hassle to, "calm down", clean, and keep from tasting like ammonia! You have to clean them ASAP to keep the meat from ruining.
I'll take a Bull Mahi every day of the week over a 6ft shark!

Lund boats have a great variety for all these applications.
The price is also reasonable.
You will have to go to The Age archives for this info. It was the early eighties. However an approach to Bruce Grant the former Age expert on Indonesia will reveal all.I have the cutting in a large archival room of my own and will begin searching soon.
Also interesting was the fact that several Indonesian fishing boats detained in Australian waters off the north west coast in the late eighties contained Indonesian military officers disguised as fisherman. This means they were spies. We let them go. Strange times.
