Florida Bass fishing problems?
Hello, I live right near a lake in Florida(largest lake in my county) and I go there occasionally to try and fish off a dock and I never seem to catch any bass or any type of fish but I know fish are in there because I see them but what am I doing wrong? Oh and also if anyone knows where I can get a cheap small bass boat or something that would be great.
Im using a lure I bought in sports authority and I try to move around near the area but I never catch nothing D:
Do you know what kind of fish you're seeing? "A lure I bought in sports authority" doesn't really narrow down what you're using for us, but a lot of our lakes here in Florida have grass carp and other fish that won't take lures, not to mention, as someone else already pointed out, you may be using too large of a hook, your presentation could be wrong, and the fish that are there may just be so used to being fished for that they've gotten smart and won't take a lure that they've seen before.
Another question to ask yourself is if you've seen anyone else catching fish in the area. If you have, you could always strike up a conversation with someone who's actually having some luck and ask what you're doing wrong.
Another thing I'd suggest is to not buy fishing equipment at chain stores. What's that kid behind the counter do in his spare time? He plays video games, he doesn't go out and fish. Buy fishing equipment somewhere where the employees actually fish, this way you can ask them how well various products work, and also what's eating what where. Yes, lures will cost a bit more at a Mom-n-Pop bait shop, but it's worth it. We need to be supporting the little guys anyway with the economy doing what it's doing.
Cheap and bass boat shouldn't really be used in the same sentence, a little jon boat should do fine, or you could even go with a kayak (they can be rigged out for fishing) so you don't even have to worry about a motor (watch your weather conditions closely, though).

Best bass fishing bait to use in Peoria,Illinois?
My bass fishing team is going to a friend's farm that has like 4 lakes on it. We will be in boats and i am kind of new to to the game. I have a brand new citica 200e reel with a graphite medium 7-foot pole i will be using. If you could please tell me the best baites to use for bass.

This time of year in Peoria,Illinois? Is the ice even thawed? I live in Springfield,illinois and there is still ice on lake springfield witch is a 4000 acre lake, so if you are fishing smaller lakes there is a chance that the are still frozen. For this time of year around here i like to use a jig and pig setup fished very slowly.

I've never seen any such adapters in any sizes. The major stores (Cabela's and Bass Pro) do not handle them that I'm aware.
The issue arises about how businesses make money at all. And the businesses make money when there are people to make the goods and provide the services for the people that want to buy the goods/services.
If it a true boat show, where's SEARAY, BAYLINER, BASS FISHING BOATS', PONTOON BOATS', fresh water boats' are boat too and come in all sizes. If they are not represented that's
just almost the start to the end of the middle class as we know it.
