bass boats for sale
how do i get the title and registration for a boat that i bought?
I bought an 11 foot bass tender boat from a guy. He didnt have the title or registration for it. How do i go about getting it? He will give me any info from him that i need. he is a sheriff's deputy in arkansas and is pretty upfront. he said when he bought it, it didnt have a titla or registration either. can i apply for a salvaged boat title or what is my best option?
in arkansas all boats propelled by sail or power must be registered. the bass tender did not need to be registered or titled if it was propelled by oars or paddle (only). get a bill of sale from the previous owner with a statement that the boat was never titled or registered (not powered) and take that to the boat registration office. you will also need to have the boat's bin number that's normally found on the right side of the transon.
if you do not plan to mount a motor (or trolling motor) on the boat then no registration is needed.

Buying a new or used boat
Which do you go for a new boat is all nice and shiny has a guarantee which is wait of your mind. But the costs are for more then buying a used a boat.
If you'd prefer to save some money and buy a boat whose value will not drop so sharply, then buying a used boat is the sensible choice to make. The rest of this article is devoted to tips on buying used boats.
