How to keep a Bass alive in your live well in your boat?
In a Bass boat there is a live well to keep the fish alive. How do you keep the fish alive without using artificial products that may harm the fish?
The best way is to keep "Oxygen" levels as high as possible, so that means turning the livewell water over at least three times per hour. If you maintain a level of 6 ppm or better, the fish have a high rate of survival. Also, adding NON-Iodized table salt helps too. Downside is that you have to remember to keep adding it every 30 mins or so, if you have a livewell running as stated above. I try to maintain a 4x changeout rate on my boats and on my ocean boat bait well.
