bass Boat Mercury
I've got a mercury 250 pro xb outboard on my bass boat and i need to know the steps on how to decarbon it.?
its a 2 stroke, EFI motor
its a 2001 model 2-stroke, EFI motor.
the product your looking for is called Sea Foam,,automotive stores carry it ,, add 1 -16 oz can to 3 gal of gas oil mix ,,hook up the water hose and start the motor let it run at idle until the water from the tell tail feels warm,,turn off motor ,, let set for one hour, and repeat,,2 more times ,thats a total of 3 ,,yes its a long day ,,, let the motor set overnight and do it all over again,,,Do Not Rev up the motor,,, what ever gas is left in the 6gal tang add to the main tank ,, clean up the mess ,, you will know what i mean when you see the through hub exhaust in your prop,,email me if you would like a pic of a really nasty hub i was told it looked like a wheel bearing
