aluminum hull boat
painting a aluminum tinny boat?
i have sanded most of all the old paint off
and want to primer and paint it
i have "concept 1etch primer" should i mix it with some "concept thinner" and use the spray gun or just use it with a brush without thinner.... please all help needed my boat is only 3meters long and im only doing the outside hull

Best to use a spray gun if you can, if you do, it can be thined but only approx 5%,no more, if you use a brush use it straight, A spray finish will always come up better,.especially two coats one hour between coats.

What size motor should I put on this BOAT?
I have a 13 foot fiberglass hull Bayliner. My husband and I bought the boat and we're fixing it up. 
When the boat was purchased, it was in sad shape and without a motor.
Although the boat looks great now, I have to start looking into getting an outboard if we want to go fishing with it in late Spring.
The boat is rated for up to a 50 horsepower, but I don't want to push it, and I'm also trying to stick to my budget! . I've been looking on craigslist and people are selling 16 foot aluminum boats with 5 horsepower motors!
My question is, what horsepower motor is best for the boat that I've described? I'm not looking to make a speed boat out of it, but I'd like it to have some "get up and go" if you know what I mean.
All opinions are appreciated.

Get as close to 50hp as you can. I have never heard anyone complain about having too much horsepower, but when you don't have enough you will kick yourself. And the longer you have the boat the heavier it will get because you will put things onboard and leave them there. And if you want to ski or tube or take a couple of guests out you want the extra power, or as you say get up and go.

I've been following the Sea Fighter thread over at Information Dissemination and it's taking a slightly different view of the new features.
First, FSF-1 is now back dockside in Portland. It's likely she was simply running some -early- trials after her refit / rebuild. That might explain her apparently unfinished appearance (bare, unpainted, new aluminum hull sections). If you look closely at those construction images taken by the biclyclist, then you could see several sections of what -likely- became the flight deck 'stealth' screen stacked vertically behind the bridge superstructure.
Second, what I've supposed to be VLS cells may be new engine exhaust system structures. The previously designed exhaust system vented gases out the side of the vessel just forward of the transom. Those vents are now absent. It is possible that the exhaust gases have been routed underwater. Or, those structures towards the rear portion of the flight deck are new exhausts. If the latter is true, then that would likely interfere with flight operations. At this point, who knows what is what.
Someone needs to be on a bridge when Sea Fighter passes underneath – with a digital SLR camera.
