aluminum boat packages
What bass boat is right for me?
I've owned a 16' aluminum fishing boat for ever now and in the future, I want to get a bass boat. I am a fishing fanatic, always have been and always will. When the time comes, and money is saved, the money shouldn't be an issue. I just want to know what the best kind of bass boat is. I know people will argue this topic, but I'd still like to hear opinions.
I have always been a muskie fisher. Casting and jigging.
I love to fish for walleye, usually jigging.
and of course, bass.
I looked into nitro's z-9 and the ranger's the z522 comanche, strato's 210 elite.
All of these boats look phenomenal, but when putting this much money into something like this its such a hard decision. Any help would be great!
AND if it matters, which I believe it does, I fish Lake St. Clair, the detroit river, and Lake Erie when conditions are permittable
To be honest I suggest you stick with an aluminum hull. Why?
They are lower maintenance.
They tend to have a much longer life-span than fiberglass hulled boats. (With proper care given a (good) Aluminum-hulled fishing boat can easily last 15-25 years PLUS. Even with proper/perfect care fiberglass boats will begin showing age at the 10-14 year mark.)
Because they tend to be lighter, you don't need a huge motor to power them. (Saving you a substantial amount of money!)
Unless you expect to buy a $38,000 -$47,000 fiberglass bass boat every 10-15 years I'd suggest you look seriously at these company's.

You can go with a fancier looking fiberglass bass boats- (that have double the price tag of an aluminum boat) - but, 10 years from now, when your still paying on it, and the fiberglass hull has lost it's luster and the transom has stress cracks- you'll regret it.
