How good is the Nitro Z-6 and where can I find a cheep one in KY?
I kinda wanna boat and I know that Nitro is the best boat company out there, and the Z-6 is the cheepest but $19,995 is still alot of money so I would like to find a cheep one in my area!
nitro does make very good purpose built fishing boats.
but best is argueable, there are a lot of very well built boats out there, of every type.
personally, i like aluminum hulls best. they are lighter, more speed on less power while burning less gas, easier to tow.
and dont have wood to get wet and rot cuasing certain failure of the hull in about 30 years.
dont wreck an aluminum hull, take care of it and maintain both it and the outboard and 30+ years down the line you can just put a new outboard on it for another good 30+ years of use.
new is the way to go, if you can, especially with mercury powered and their EXCELLENT warranty to guarentee hassle free ownership. mercury is a great way to go, with or without a warranty, but that warranty, above and beyond they will go to make you happy.
pay as much upfront as you can possibly manage. every dollar not borrowed is one you dont pay interest on.

Yes, aluminum foil can be used. That's what I use with great success – especially on the grill. (yum). I've never tried it with peppers and onions, can I "borrow" your idea? it sounds good. I usually use squash and zucchini.
If only I heeded your advice. Or even my own. For over 10 years of my working career I’ve avoided the pit falls of the Christmas Party. However, after a tranquil day on a boat in the company of my esteemed colleagues I find myself staring blankly at the PC trying desperately to avoid anyone’s eye contact. I was the freak at the show yesterday. The elephant man, the caged animal, the Cristina Slaguilara. The center of the unwanted attention.
Others have had their ‘Pretty Mystery’ moments at company do’s (Ed – don’t deny it) but up until now I’ve managed to avoid it. Never mix business with pleasure. The closest I came was at the last Wine People trip to the local teppanyaki restaurant. While the show chef flipped his Wagyu Burgers and tossed egg fried rice at me I found myself flirting innocently with the office MILF. She’d had a few more Saki’s than me and started to feel my leg under the table. Later that evening I subtlety slipped my hand up her skirt and before I knew it we were racing through The Cross in the back of a taxi towards my apartment. The thing is nobody noticed – so it doesn’t count, work reputation still in tact.
But yesterday I undid 10 years of hard word in just three quick drinks. It all started well. I paced myself and even stopped drinking for a couple of hours while I played the perfect host on the yacht and served colleagues with oysters and lobster. Everyone was having a great time. We pulled into a secluded beach and I was the first to dive into the aqua clear water – still sober. Others joined me. I could sense the cracks appearing in some of my colleague’s demeanour. The bets on who was going to have their office party ‘moment’ were started to hot up. Top of the list had to be Tom, particularly when he stripped off on the top of the boat, Chippendale style, to his Marks and Spencer’s boxers and belly flopped into the water. Howls of laughter erupted as he lost his pants. I smiled smugly to myself, as I knew someone else younger and less wise than me was once again going to become the office stain.
After the boat trip we were all invited back to Jodie’s house. Jodie works for me. I am her boss. Before I go any further I have to explain this was not your usually after party party. It was all very tame. Plus it was still only 7pm. Most people were still on the whole sober. Even Tom seemed to have come back from the precipice and was holding a fine conversation with the CEO. A couple of employees even brought their kids around. Two toddlers immediately zoned in on me as a fatherly figure. Before I knew it I was swinging them round and throwing them up in the air. All good fun I thought until I saw their mother’s faces. I was getting close to the precipice. What I thought was boisterous fun – was obviously seen by the others as a drunken lout throwing there kids around. I dropped one of them on his head. Game Over. Tears. All of a sudden everyone is looking at me.
I scuttled into the kitchen and poured myself a drink. I don’t think I will ever know why I did this – but I poured myself a whole cup of vodka – straight. – not even ice. I downed it. Then I poured myself another one. Downed it. And then a third. Half a bottle of Smirnoff in less than a minute.
This is the last thing I remember. After that absolutely nothing. Just darkness.
I woke bolt upright on a futon. Everyone had gone. It was pitch black and I couldn’t remember a thing. I pulled back the sheets and I was naked except for a pair of fetching PJ bottoms. I dashed to the bathroom, walking into the laundry room by accident and tripped over the ironing board with a huge clatter. It was 5am. Jodie rushed out of her room – obviously very worried about my well being. She probably feared I’d done a Jimi Hendrix. The words she uttered will haunt me for ever. She simply said, ‘I have never seen anything like that’. The thing is it wasn’t just Jodie that saw whatever I did. It was also the CEO, her kids, the MILF, Tom … the whole bloody office.
I haven’t asked for anymore details. I really don’t want to know. All I do know is Declan the Financial Controller was the one that had to strip me of my vomit sodden clothes, shower me and put me in pyjamas. Apparently the party had to be abandoned shortly after 8pm because of my actions. There are some things that people shouldn’t see, let alone 5 year old kids.
I left the house at 5am. Clothes still covered in vomit so I strode through The Cross in nothing but pyjamas. Mark got the call, so did Gem.
And so I became this year’s office stain. Not for the first time it seems. Just before I slipped into a coma I clearly remember Jodie telling me not to get too drunk. ‘Remember what happened last time’ she warned. ‘What?’ I innocently replied. She just looked at me and said, ‘Everyone saw you slip your hand up Liz’s skirt at the Tappanyaki restaurant’.

There aren’t many contractors to be trusted. Electric Boat Company maybe, that’s about it, when it comes to cost. Regardless, there are going to be cuts coming. What is the question, not if. Any program doing poorly are probably going to be looked at for cost savings, whether that is reduced buys, modified buys, or cancellations, the cuts are coming. We pretty much are going to have to chop a little something from everywhere to realistically get the debt under control. The JSF program regardless of who built it was conceived for a different time, and it isn’t really exactly what we know now the future is going to look like. Like others have said though, we’ve got few alternatives other than updated legacy buys, and probably not the political willpower for that.
