agreed value coverage in marine insurance
Photography Business insurance?
I'm working as a freelance photographer, and need insurance for public liability but also to cover all of my equipment against damage/theft etc. however some of my equipment was purchased through auctions for much below the retail value. Is it possible to have it insured for it's full retail value?
You should be able to purchase a Commercial Package policy which would include coverage for Commercial General Liability and your Business Personal Property (on an Inland Marine form if you don't have a studio). You would ask for them to cover your Business Personal Property on a replacement cost or Agreed Value Basis -- what you don't want is Actual Cash Value.
For additional information you should contact a local independent insurance agent that specializes in commercial insurance so that he or she can give you a full review of your operations and the risks that need to be covered. You can go to the Find an Agent section of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America website.
