96 yamaha waverunner
how to winterize waverunner?
i have a 96 yamaha waveblaster 2 760. if your not
supposed to start these out of water then how do you
fog the carbs. i dont see anyplace to hook up a hose.
if there is a hose hookup please tell me how i find it
and where its located. the rest of the winterizing seems
fairly simple as far as oiling the pistons and changeing
the gear oil. if ive already run stabilizer through the carbs
do i need to fog them. i know its a little early but i wont be able
to use it the rest of this year so i would like to get it done
and stored
BMF is correct you can run the the shi for a short time. Unlike a inboard or outboard which have rubber pump impeller which start burning up after 5 seconds out of the water, skis have metal impellers. There are products out there you can use Mercury has an oil based mist spray can at your local boat shop. I used this stuff called Miracle Mauve you can find it. I've heard some guys using WD-40, but I won't use it. And the good old stand by is 1/2 teaspoon of new motor oil Thur each spark plug hole, crack the starter a few time replaced the plugs. This might cause you to have first start issues next start up season but your rings will be nice and coated. Replace old plug with new one after the burn off stag. Also remove that battery. If you don't check on it every few months, you might as well take it down for recycling now. 6vt batteries just don't stay healthy if they are not used. Hope this help Ray.
