2009 ski boats
Best Honeymoon "ALL INCLUSIVE" Resort (SANDALS, COUPLES, IBEROSTAR?)?
Hey Everyone,
I just got engaged earlier this month. My Fiance is going to be doing all of the wedding planning and it my job to find the honeymoon destination (cant say I'm to disappointed with that lol). I have read loads and loads of forums and reviews on multiple "AI" resorts (ie Sandals, Couples, Iberostar) but they are all from 2009 and sooner. I am really just wondering which resort would be the best for us. My price range is in the $5500-$7000 area. We are planning to go june or july of 2013
What I know my fiance would love is a resort with awesome beaches, amazing clean rooms, great food, and not to leave the resort if possible.
I have to say that from the research I have already done Sandals Negril looks incredible.
I would love to here both the good and bad from couples that just went recently to any of these resorts. I thank all of you in advance for your replies.

you have a healthy budget for Sandals Negril and that would be my choice if I did AI and wanted to just hang at the resort. Got to say it is pure luxury...It is located at the far end of the beach away from town and it is a nice stretch of the beach. There are a few AIs at that end of the beach. There will be a lot on offer at the resort and they sure do cater to the couple experience....you will enjoy it. Make sure you tell them that it will be your honeymoon.
Besides, Negril is a great destination if you do choose to take a night out with many options, such as Bruce has mentioned, or if you wish to explore some great south coast attractions such as YS Falls, Floyd's Pelican Bar, Black River Tour, Blue Hole, Lover's Leap, Roaring River, Mineral Baths, Appleton Rum Tour,.....so much to see if you do wish to explore. These will be on offer by Sandals should you wish. And of course there will be the usual beach happenings such as glass-bottom boat for snorkeling, jet skis, parasailing, banana-boat, sunset cruise, and just floating in the warm Caribbean Sea.
Just a note, going in June or July is low season so it will be fairly slow, not very busy both on the beach and at the resort. Having said that, it can be a nice intimate experience as a result, as opposed to being on the beach during the high season when it is packed. It is also the rainy season, however the beginning, so it will rain a bit, but not much such as an hour a day or so. I just got back from my usual extended stay over the summer months and can say that I was surprised how little it did rain. Make sure you include hurricane coverage in your trip insurance as it is hurricane season from 1st June to 30th November. JA has not been hit by a hurricane for some time now and they usually happen at the end of the season, but you don't want to be caught off guard....just in case.
Oh, also, if you like lobster....you can not get any during the month of June, well actually from 1st April until 30th June as there is a ban during this time on catching them. But it is mango and ginnup season.....

I wish I knew why Congress will not impeach Bush and Cheney. If there were ever a President that deserves to be thrown out of office in disgrace it is George W. Bush. This week he added yet another reason for immediate impeachment , the so called Iranian provocation of our War ships in the Hormuz Straits. He is obviously hell bent on starting a war with Iran before he leaves office and he is pulling out all stops in an attempt to drum up support . The nuclear threat did not work, disproven by the NIE report. So now he resorts to lying about Iranians in ski boats threatening our billion dollar destroyers in the open sea. Of course you in the media help him out by reporting his lies verbatim and then never following up with the truth. Now we have millions of Americans who believe Iran is thinking about attacking our Navy with Ski Boats for Gods Sake. Kinda reminds me of the old story about Saddam spraying the US with posion gas using remote controlled toy planes.
