17 aluminum boat
Putting new deck on bass boat. Pressboard vs Plywood?
I am redoing the decking of a 17' aluminum bassboat. It currently has carpeted 3/4" pressboard or OSB for the deckboards. I am wondering if I sould replace the deckboards with matching OSB or should I use plywood which I would think to be sturdier. What is the reasoning for using OSB over plywood? Is it a weight issue?

If you can afford Marine plywood, that should last you forever. Ask yourself, how long did the pressboard last before saying the Marine plywood is too costly. I don't think it's a weight issue, it's probably a cost issue.

has anyone used snow roof inside a riveted aluminum boat to prevent leaks?
I have a 17' smoker craft riveted aluminum boat that has some lose rivets, I have replaced- tightened the questionable rivets and am thinking about putting a coat of snow roof on the inside before reinstalling the seats and new flooring as it is so much cheaper than having it Rino lined...What do ya think
Any repair must be made on the outside of the hull. No matter what you put on the inside, water will eventually push past.

The only time i use the word Aluminum is in describing my Lund 16 foot Aluminum Boat? And damn it its Aluminum.
Pound it into a bowl shape with a bowling ball or a shot put. Make sure that the amount of water that it would take to fill it up weighs more than it does. Then it will float on water when it's empty.
Weight of water displaced = Weight of aluminum boat
Water is 1,000 kg/m^3 or 1g/cm^3
